IBMS was formed in 2005 upon the realisation that the controls and building technology was being dominated by the major international brands. Their dominance in the market was based on product volumes, corporate benchmarking, mergers and acquisitions. A gap was forming between the needs of the market and what was being delivered. Around us in everyday life technology was advancing rapidly (think mobile phones) whilst commercial and public buildings were staying in the 1990s.
The overwhelming message from discussions with consultants, contractors and end users was that there was a demand for an independent systems integrator. This integrator would offer a full range of design, project management, installation, commissioning and maintenance services – without the normal conflict of interests which arise from being tied to any particular product range or systems philosophy.
We apply technology to improve the built environment.
Our corporate culture is shaped by the shared values we adopt. Our values are “lived” through our daily behaviours – what we say, do, write and even think. We can think of our Corporate Culture simply as “This is the way we do things around here”.
What is an IBMS Value?
IBMS’ core values are used to support our vision, shape our culture and reflect what IBMS, as a company, values. Core values are the essence of our identity, our principles and beliefs. The IBMS values provide the foundation upon which all staff perform their work and conduct themselves. An IBMS value guides our decision making and provides a sense of what is important and what is right.
